| My drivers inner door operating rod has failed and i have to look very uncool and open my door from the outside!! Looking at the Hyanes manual ( 3 spanner job) it sounds rather complcated getting the inner door trim off. I am also worried that if something goes wrong with removing the window regulator, i'm scuppered getting access to the vehicle. I hope all this makes sense, but as you may be able to tell, i'm a nurse not a mechanic. Could one of my engineers tackle this job without expecting any major issues (he feels fairly confident he could do it) or would it be best to take it to the garage. Seems silly if it's a simple job. If i took it to the garage, how much would you expect them to reasonably quote to do this job? Many thanks J |

| Getting the door trim off isn't too difficult - easily less than 10 minutes. The cable may only have popped off the internal door handle and you can just pop it back on. Use the search option as it has been covered on here numerous times.

| Agreed; Haynes spanner ratings on the Octy are all over the place. |
