| Hello All, Have a problem where my drivr door is now locked. I have noticed recently that while driving the central locking would lock all the doors without warning. Then today I went to open my drivers door and something clicked and it wouldnt open. I imagine it is a simple thing like a cable has become detached from the opening lever. However the problem now is that the door is locked and I cannot access the screws to remove the trim to investigate. I cant open it from the outside and opening the other doors has no effect. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!

| yup, mine did the same trick twice, driver and passenger doors, within a week of each other. It was the lock cable in both cases. the passenger door broke with the door open so apart from duck taping the door shut till i could get round to fixing it was an easy fix. the drivers door like your car jammed shut. i could'nt get it open either so i took it to the garage. they managed it ok but didn't ask them how they did it. the only thing to suggest is the cable might be frayed and sticking if it has not snapped right off so it might free itsself with a bit of repeated locking, unlocking and joggling. |
