| Its hard to say how much more airflow you will get over the stock one from that picture. I would personally go for a silicon TIP such as forge, autobahn 888 or APR as they cannot collapse under vaccum as they replace the flimsy rubber part of the stock intake as well as the metal intake ![]()

| it looks very simillar to the oem one, by the time you have added the 35$ shipping to the UK, and the import tax and VAT you will be better getting something like the neuspeed or ABD one. I had the ABD one on my old vRS, and it made quiet a difference.

| I think this is the one i got VW Beetle Golf MK4 1.8T silicone induction intake pipe on eBay, also, Performance Tuning Parts, Car Tuning Styling, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 17-May-08 04:36:00 BST) If you search golf silicone there are a few other colours and companies too.

| It is held on the turbo with a jubilee clip yes and dont worry about it being 3 ply it will still be stronger than the rubber intake. If you buy it hold them side by side and squeeze them, you will feel the extra rigidity in the silicon one

| Here you go matey my thread on the autobahn. http://briskoda.net/forums/octavia-i...new-tip/96688/ Mine was 4ply I used a stainless steel jubilee clip at the turbo end as you wouldn't wanna get under the car again.

| Ecu Evoluion. I've done a few vag-com logs since having the car. Exhaust took it to 190bhp Tip no extra First remap 209bhp with the exhaust. second remap 236bhp with the exhaust. shes getting a RR at the end of the month, i'm on the list at scn RR day (RS tuning -leeds, dyno dynamics) so i will see then. Would be good if i got 220bhp though ![]()

| I'm sure I remember someone saying they got one of those TIPs off eBay and something broke as they were fitting. Can't remeber exactly but one of the fittings got pushed through or something.

| Yep, that's right ![]() It was the lower nipple for the vacuum pipe- pushed through. Used a jubilee clip on both side of the nipple in the end- can't get to it to check but I'm guessing it's still on there ok!!
