Default Estate tailgate locking problem

the central locking has decided to give up the ghost on the tailgate!

i've only had the car 5 days and somethings gone wrong!

please help me to stop the wife nagging at me cos of this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's not an uncommon fault. Did you get any sort of warranty with the car?

it will be the tailgate locking motor a common problem..

It could also be the central locking control unit, but its more probably the lock itself.

Bring it to a Skoda garage and throw it on a 5051, or to a friend who has vag-com and get it tested.
