Default Exhaust smoking

Hi guys,

Drove home for 30 minutes, parked up for an hour... took the car out again to fill her up with petrol and noticed the exhaust was smoking nothing too over the top but considering it's not really that cold out tonight and I'd only been sat for an hour thought it was a bit weird?

Drove for 30 minutes and rev'd it up in a car park and couldn't see any smoke but it wasn't great lighting.

Something to keep an eye out for? Or is it fairly normal to get some smoke!

It's a VRS petrol btw 2001, just serviced and performing fine (apart from surging a bit, might replace n75 valve soon).

Mine used to throw out lots of steam when cold, and even when up to full temp...

I serviced my octy vrs today and noticed water vapour coming from the exhaust well after the temp gauge had reached the normal position.

Its been dry all day in the NE and quite warm for time of year, but I think the air is quite damp today.

And, when SWMBO came home from work she played f**k cos the washing had'nt dried on the line

Me and SWMBO think you have nothing to worry about......unless you have any washing to dry

Thanks for the replies.

I noticed this again today, 40 minutes to work (got here at 7.50). Then had to make a small trip out at 11ish. After returning (2 mile trip) the exhaust was smoking again.

It's dry and fairly warm today....

Car is performing fine from what I can tell and it gets a good run to work and back.

I THINK the smoke looks white/greyish.

As long as it's not blue smoke it should be fine!
