First variable service cost 130 DIESEL

Have booked in for the first variable service , came up at 17500 miles , 2 quotes at £260 and one at £230 ,2 1/2 hours time and the long life oil Does this seem reasonable . Have booked in , and will get a test drive on a new octy DSG at the same time .

Interesting. My Fabia vRS is on fixed servicing, of course, and after 20,000 miles I had spent £260 on its two services. So at mileages of about 20K/year, there doesn't seem any advantage in variable servicing, apart from one fewer visits to the dealer.
