Default FMIC Again

Right this time ive been looking round for an fmic, after all its about £200 more then the uprated smic i was gonna go for, gerry would you like to disclose how much ur abd racing one was, as its 650 on their site which is the cheapest ive found, but on all the other sites vat aint included, so i was thinking its prob 650 plus vat on this aswell, ive also seen the Pro alloy one for sale in a few places for around 675, i want to go for the half sorta fmic not the ones that cover the whole fornt like the forge one etc, plus i want the inlet and outlet on the smae side.

What i want to know is where people got theirs from and how much, will be fitting it myself so no fitting costs, also last thing will the golf/bora fmic fit, i dont see why not as its only the front bumper thats different, comments please

Go for the Pro-Alloy one, I got mine from Jabba Sport - Motor Sport, it was around the £750/800 pound mark and well worth it!!!!!!

P.s. Can't comment regarding the Golf/Bora thing!! The is plenty of places that do the fmic specifically for the Mk.1 vRS though

For pics you'll need to do a search of my pics (steevie wonder)

We're looking at the 650 nuts section here.
Impossible Performance, Medway Industrial Estate. Not a million miles from vous.

There's a link on here somewhere!

Sounds like your requesting a group buy from Forge, for Forge to offer very good prices, on not only Octavia vRS's.. But Leon Cupra R's also. Is this what you meant?

well my insurance company got back to me today an said £100, , they were saying that if i have a frontal collision the intercooler will be forced back and do more damage to the other components, then if it werent there, can see their point so will have to wait, so looks like a no no then, looks like just to vent the wheel arch, and remap lol , only got six months to wait to change insurance companys

unfortunately not mate.
although i love forge and all they do,the intercooler is just not cost effective FOR ME,i cannot afford one,so i am trying to get a cheaper alternative, also the jabba/apr/blah blah blah ones are too much for my pocket.for what it does.
for 120 quid and some silicon hoses(another hundred ?!?!) if i could get that working i'd be happy.
sorry to hijack the thread dude,i hope you get what you need

Happy to look at another GB .need yto know who is seriously interested.

Regarding the "other " intercoolers on the market .It really would be unprofessional to comment as I really do not know much about them , I can only say bothe companies mentioned are well respected and have expertise in their markets .

I can tell you about Forge .... quite simply the intercoolere works 100% all the time , value for money and good after service is what we are about .
Quite simply if you buy one pay for it .....if your happy great if your not ...full refund and we will remove and refit for your OEM for free..cant say fairer than that ....
