Default Foot down isn't full throttle!

If I'm booting it hard on the motorway say, with my foot hard down, and then I lift my foot slightly off the pedal, the car actually goes faster!!

It's a little weird, as obviously you expect the car to slow slightly, not speed up slightly. I've gotten used to it now, so don't notice it as much, but I do need to sort it obviously!

I'm presuming the throttle valve needs resetting..... stupid fly by wire witchcraft!

How can I do this myself?

I have a Sealey Diagnostics tool, on which I can't find any function to reset the TB. So I guess I'll have to pop over to Awesome or someone to get it reset if I can't do it myself.

Cheers squires

isnt it something to do with fueling.

when you put foot flat on floor the petrol mix is v high and when you lift a tad it lets more air in so burnin hotter to give that boost????????????

if you can understand that.....

I see your point, and it makes sense.

But I assumed that the ECU would calculate the perfect AF ratio for max power, rather than letting the engine run rich at WOT (presuming that foot hard down is actually WOT).

Hmmm where's Ken? Wise words required....

Yes I think a throttle body clean and adaption would be a good place to start. Shouldn't be more than an hours labour wherever you take it!
