| Last question i promise! I have spoke to Mark at Forge and he has explained about the dump valve thing that the engine management comes on and shuts down the engine etc.. But he says to fit a Forge FMCL007P in reverse from the old valve and then fit a OPEN INDUCTION KIT at about £120, they do not do these or know of anyone that does? (but they are available accorrding to Mark!) If anyone could shed some light on this as to where i could get one i would be grateful, Hence then i get a suttle but nice sounding whhooshh! Keith. A piston type dv should give you a litte more "pstsh" but not a lot....yes... if you want more noise you need to get an induction kit. Ok quietest first: dynatwist- an enclosed filter connected to the MAF housing and a flexi pipe for the air inlet. You'll can hear the dv but no induction noise. Approx £150...can't rightly remember...was a long time ago..still got it. . . . carbonioi, ABD LAN, Neuspeed induction kit, Jabbasport induction kit - these are loud due to being basically a filter stuck on the end of pipe connecting to the MAF. Approx £200. Or you can mod your air box...get a green filter and cut holes in the box.

I believe a couple of members have modded the air box but only removed the fins on the inside and not drill any other holes. Green filter make noise a bit more noticeable but definately not as much as an induction kit. I ran a Dynatwist and now a Jabbasport induction kit...noise different is like chalk and cheese.

| I did my airbox fins - there's a thread on UK-MKIVS. Didn't want to drill holes in the airbox though - I wanted cool air, not warm engine compartment air.
