Default forge TIP Fitted

Had a forge TIP fitted to day.

Little disappointed with the reduction in dump valve noise but the turbo itself is more vocal

Was it hard to fit or did you get some poor soul to do it?

I think it does help the turbo breath a bit better.

I fitted one myself bpm, it wasn't that bad with two of us. Just takes a while to wiggle it into place... it's really tight against one of the coolant pipes. In position it still touches....

I chickened out and got Revolution, who supplied the TIP to fit it.

Thats all the mechanical bits done now so will probably being getting it remapped when I get back off holiday mid June.

Got the car booked in for a service today at MB Motorsport.

I've heard good reports about MB Motorsport (North East Jabba agents), and they are only charging £110 for a service, compared to £270 by silbury skoda!

Will be picking the car up shortly so will let you know about the quality of the service

Thinking of going to Jabba to get it remapped.

Spoke to a few guys from the northeast including one who has used jabba several times and all have positive comments

MB Motorsport carryout Jabba remaps but don't have a rolling road. They can get jabba to custom make a remap for the mods you have on your car but I would prefer to get the car on a rolling road.

Bit of a drive all the way to Peterborough but I'm certain the return journey will be a little bit quicker

Where are MB Motorsport Michael?
My vRS needs a service and could do with the cambelt etc done.
I tried there website but it seemed to be down.

edit. It's ok, i've found there details

He quoted me the same price roughly £110, it might be a little bit more as i will need my air filter done too.
Your car was there when i called. He said, 'funny you should ask, we have a one here at the moment thats just been serviced'
I asked if it was black. I presume it's yours

It wasn't Michael (the owner?) i spoke too it was someone else, really nice guy. He was talking about the dodgy plastic impellor water pumps when i asked about getting the cam belt done too.

So, i'm just waiting on a price for the cambelt, he said he will ring me tomorrow.

Cannot fault the service from MB Motorsport.

£110 for a service and he also changed the variable servicing schedule to a yearly one (which I asked for)

The guys know they stuff regarding the VAG range.

Will certainly being using them now for servicing and other work on the car
