Default fuse box diagram

hi all,

I have a Octavia 1998 1.8 20v model.

Could anyone help me as my brake lights are not working and bulbs seem to be ok.

It could be a fuse.

could anyone help with a diagram of the fuse box. (i take it as read its the fuse box on the drive side dash).

worth checking the brake light switch it working.... short out the cables on the back and see if your lights come on....

haynes manual has a typical fuse box layout
brake light fuse is F13 10A
on the diagram the fuses are in 7 rows starting with 2 fuses going to 4 in a row, then 3 rows of 7 below
position is 5th row 2nd down on the top.

that is 5th row starting from the row of 2 fuses!

This is the correct view. The fusebox diagram in the Owner's Manual is for a LHD car.
