| Well, a good few days since I had the superchips map changed for the GIAC map at Regal. I'll be taking it back this week to put her on the RR. At first I thought I'd lost some torque but I think I was just flapping a bit, as a week on she feels good in the power department (not that I wouldn't like to fit an exhaust, a cat, a forge DV, a TIP and an FMIC - jesus this tuning game is getting addictive ).Anyway, I've spent some time this week trying to drive sensibly back and forth to work rather than gunning it everywhere - the fact that the acceleration kicks in around 3k makes it so hard not to gun it and so tempting just to go for it! I've noticed that when I do floor it through all the gears the surging seems to have gone. However, I have noticed in the last day or a so a bit of surging in one of the gears (not replicated when I tried to find 'where' it was). I've also noticed that the car, whilst super smooth when gunning it, is less smooth when driving sensibly. A little bit of surging and a bit of jerkiness when I ease off the throttle to stop me taking off around 3k. I can't help but wonder, though, if the jerkiness comes from the turbo starting to kick in and then backing off when I ease off the throttle and maybe kicking back in - eg it is right on the edge and the turbo is dipping in and out. The other thing I have noticed is that when trying to drive sensibly that it's like trying to control a mad dog on a leash which is straining to break off and go for it - it's a real bloody challenge! Before I'm abused for driving sensibly - In the 10 days I've had the car I've been gunning it everywhere with a manic grin on my face I'll let you know how the RR goes and tap Chris up for a RR day. |

| don't forget the ecu learns your driving style over time, so it will get better, I think over about two months normally
