Default Help choose new wheels

Looking at ordering new wheels this afternoon from alloywheels.com

Want to know peoples opinions on which wheels to choose with a budget £450.00
The main contenders atm are

1) 18" Dotz Reflex

2) 18" Savage Hyper Silver

3) 18" Savage Black

4) 18" Team Dynamics Arnage (or polished)

5) 18" Dare X1 Gunmetal

Bearing in mind the car is black i am unsure of going with black or gunmetal wheels but opinions supporting them may sway my opinion as i have never seen a black car with black or dark wheels up close.

Any other ideas are welcomed aslong as the budget stays at £450 , If swmbo hears me mutter even a penny over £450 I've had it. (i should manage postage on top without too much grief)

Skoda Octavia 97 18" Alloy Wheels Search - Alloy Wheels - Specialist supplier of alloy wheels and tyres packages, 0% Finance and Fast Delivery

All wheels are in above link page 4 and 5

Are all those wheels available within your budget m8?!?!? If so do they come with tires as most sets that i have seen in 8 x 18 are generally £600 upwards for something half decent unless you go for the common RS6 or A8 replicas which have seen for as little as £500

Hi ive had my original wheels refirbed in anthricite which is like a gunmetal finish from the wheel specialist. They look really good. Well pleased with them they are like new. The colour looks great on my black vrs. Cost forty pounds per wheel so a cheap option for you. Well worth looking into. As this way you stay with your original wheels which are designed for the car. Some after market wheels although they look good are not always the best option for your car. eg handling and sometimes speed. just a thought.

The wheels that are on the car now are replica (old) RS4's and 1 is slightly buckled
which i never noticed untill the car had a service so i dont have original wheels to refurb.

I prefer the new wheel option as 1 is buckled and they are too heavy i think.

Hi ok. was just a thought still going to a darker colour is a great idea. They look really good on and you dont have to wash them as often

Standard ride height but 18"s are on there now and I love the look over the standard 17"s

If the missus had her way she would have me buying wheels from the 1st page
and id rather stick to a known brand/light weight wheel rather than replicas.

She dont drive and certainly shows it sometimes with comments like "aslong as they are round it shouldn't matter about the cheap ones"

I like the look of these and few saying the colour will suit so it's making the choice slighlty harder

It was an offer as the shop had just opened in Manchester but I still think the real price is only 50 per wheel. Well worth it too as there were a few scuffs on the wheels when i got the car but they come back like new. I also think they do it cheaper if you can take your wheels in without tyres.

Well new wheels arrived , I eventually went with the RS4 replicas in hyper black
and got to say they do look the biz.

The car could do with a good clean tho to compliment the wheels.

Is what i thought when I opened them, but I reckon they look better like that rather than a full black face, They sorta compliment the black paint really well I think.

On a side note how badly can buckled wheel/s affect fuel consumption?
After changing today I went to work the same routes etc and noticed I had used a little less fuel. (same driving habits as before too)

Smile Re: Help choose new wheels

hi i just purchased a set of 18" rs4's with 225/40/18 tyres and there seems to be rubbing issues so will have to upgrade the springs as they are standard so dont know if i should have gone with 35's instead
