| Hey Guys. Not Sure If Anyone Will Be Able To Answer This Question But Im Gunna Ask Anyway! Ive Owned My Octy Vrs(rally Ed) 02 Plate(40000 Miles) For 2 Month Now And I Love Her, I Even Talk To Her(elenor) Lol. The Only Thing That As Gone Wrong With Her While Ive Bin The Owner Is The No 2 Coil Which I Belive Is A Common Problem And Was Quite Cheap To Put Rite. As A Matter Of Intrest I Contacted Skoda Just To See What Things Had Bin Done To My Elenor In The Past, And Got The Shock Of My Life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1. New Turbo & Turbo Pipe. 2. Central Locking Fault. 3. 1&3 Coil Pack Failier. 4. Anti-roll Bar Bushes And Links Replaced. 5. Cd Auto Changer Fault. 6. Clicking Engine Light. All This Was Replaced By The Previous Owner To Me, And Cost 2500 Quid, Expensive Ey? Now Comes The Question, Should I Be Worried That This Car Is Gunna Be Unreliable And Costly??????????? I Was Under The Impresion That The Skoda Octavia Was 1 Of The Most Reliable Cars On The Market, Am I Wrong????? Thanks For Listenin To Me Guys Hope I Avnt Bored You To Much? Any Advise Will Be Appreciated. Praise The Turbo Gods. |

| Most of those thing are the usual suspects though so don't worry about them as they've been done. New turbo is always a bonus as well |

| mines done 108k now and never had owt other than discs and pads and tyres according to the dealers and the service printout i got of leaseplan so not bad, supposed to be the most reliable based on the floorplan i.e golf.bora.audi,seat,etc imoa they crap, as usual overrated german engineering just do a search ! oil pump failures common, coil packs, dv,.the list goes on but 2 milllion taxi drivers have one so cant be that much of a lemon, but a new taxi spec octavia was 8k from my dealers id never buy german again thats for sure cannot wait to get my bottom back in a volvo seat thats another to banned list ; vauxhall, french, italian, german, some japs, germans in drag(skoda,seat)![]()

| My cars cambelt snapped with previous owner at 70000mile.New cylinder head, turbo, piston rings, conrod shells, thermostat, oil pump etc etc Just clicked past 100000 now with no probs at all. The way i look at it is most of my engines now almost new. I wouldn't like the previous owners bill though....£4341.28 ![]()

| mate there is so many different things in a car and they are mass produced so what do you expect in all honesty. If all that work had been done under warranty then the garage will have had a good look round it so honestly your car will be fine |
