Is that your car in the pics? Where did you get the telephone dash mount? Been looking for a RHD one for ages.

Had a Brodit console mount until the missus knocked it off with her handbag

Not sure if the Golf one would fit and I think its too low down on the console.

Looking for something like this, but without all the screens. Not sure where I found the image though.

Interesting pics 888

My Octy is with the upholsterers at the moment cos my patience finally ran out with the old grey stuff constantly staining (with water of course).
So its in for the doorcards and seat centres doing in red leather Horizontal strip (door cards will be as normal but with 1 seam half way up)

Did ask him about the carpets but he said that as the originals are pre moulded he couldn't get it to look as good as the original.
If anyone else knows any different can you let me know?

Ian

You can buy carpets in black from the skoda main dealer, there from another model octavia but can't remember which one,if you do a search then you should find some posts about it as some members have carried out this mod

Hi

Are the carpets black, or dark grey, there was a post on here a while ago about replacing carpets, and they could only get hold of dark grey from Skoda, so if they do black, wicked

Also, how much of a job is changing the carpets, cos i will also need to install an amp and poss a sub in the boot (im not a gary, just like music) so thought i would do the wiring at the same time.

Has anyone got instuctions on changing the carpets??? i guess its just removing the seats and some of the trim??

Cheers

Gav

Thanks for the info on the carpets, will look into getting some black ones. :o)

As for fitting them 888:
It aint a two minutes job as you can imagine. The seats will have to come out, sill trims, kick well panels and most probably the the centre console. Without looking, I would guess that there maybe other things to unbolt like the front seatbelt anchor points. Other things are bound to catch you out as you go along.

I suppose its not rocket science, you just need to allow plenty of time to do the job properly without rushing.

You would have to be over 8 foot to have legs long enough for this mount to be a problem, there is no intrusion into the passenger side
