| I cant seem to find anywhere a list of people's cars, their mods and what power figures they have and what they think of them apart from all over the place. Im thinking of selling my modded Impreza for something cheaper to run but with a big grin factor still (seems like an Octavia might be the one) , so I want to know what people have done to gain more power for some ideas. Ive read the article on modding but it does not show the real world power gains that people have. If there is one please point me in the direction of it otherwise why not post below. Sorry if its been done before. |

| Many members claim 250-280 bhp is achievable without too many mods. I think JabbaSport have one running at 340 bhp and a monsterous ammount of torque? Get yourself a Fabia vRS and convert to the darkside (literally cos the soot will black out the sun), get it remapped, cupra intake, green panel filter & a milltek exhaust and see around 200 bhp, or just buy vRS_Barry's in the for sale section - 220 bhp/340 lb/ft of torque and it's not even in a high state of tune (new turbo/seat sport fmic etc)... Chris.

| Check out the For sale section,i have my Octy up for sale with a few modifications done. i had it Jabba re-mapped with gave it 230bhp have since fitted all the other parts(FMIC,Full Exhaust,Samco TIP)and its a different car now. don't know what it producing now but the difference in just driving it is amazing. am off to a rolling road on the 26th Feb so will know how much it has then.

| Im not sure Tavia.... I like the idea of the better specced Vrs than the 4x4, and the loss of 4wd doesnt bother me too much, as most of the hard acceleration that is done is from a rolling start anyway so initial traction isnt too much of an issue. Also Im well used to driving Fwd cars as well as 4wd so overall grip isnt too much of an issue either. Im open to suggestion though. I'm going to try to get out in both to see what they are like compared. Benji what have you got done to yours?? That would be a nice amount of power to have! My scoob is approx 270bhp on the rollers (V hot day). Last edited by Danbo; 13-02-2005 at 18:55. |

| slightly bigger brakes and lower stiffer suspenion but 4x4 has independant all round where vrs doesn't. the vrs has half leather interior but 4x4 has sunroof, sideairbags, arm rest, esp, headlight washers and maybe a couple extra things. but with a little bit of money the 4x4 can have better brakes and better suspension, i have just fitted some KW V 2's bought from another member and as already said awaiting some tuning. next step for me is better brakes, mine don't feel rubbish would like better brakes

| depends what spec you go for in the vRS with regards to options though, or if you buy 2nd hand and get one with a few bits chucked on already. my vRS has a sunroof and rear parking sensors that the previous owner spec'd when buying the car new, i know you can have xenons/headlight washers etc on the vRs as well though. it depends what you want, get yourself to a dealer and try a few of the options open to you.
