Question MAF part number for 1.8t please....

ive been told my MAF needs replacing and ive tried looking through old threads but could only seem to find part numbers for a diesel and wasnt sure if they were the same and lots of other questions on MAF's.

i work for volkswagon trade part specialists and i got a part number from one of the guys in the office but id rather check the part number as rather be safe than sorry lol

the part number i was given was 06a 906 461 lx

The only part number i can give you is the bosch part number

0986280217

Doing a quick search on this number brought up this page

Buy Parts & Accessories - Mass Air Flow Sensor Meter for VW, AUDI, SEAT, SKODA A3 ,A4,A6,TT - Cape Town - South Africa

This shows the VW part number is the same as yours bar 1 digit at the end

The x at the end means it's an exchange part - they want your old one back to refurbish

ahh ok .....they did want an exchange in CAS aswell, i just thought that would be a revision number

I bought mine from a scrapper 'cos I'm tight!!

The scrap yard would be the one and only place i used if it was up the the other half , There again money is a bit tight these days and not just her purse

Yes that is the correct part number for the vrs auq engine.
