| Well it seems the 276ftlb of torque has finally got too much for my clutch. It keeps slipping, usually when I'm being lazy and overtake in 5th. So, any recommendations?

| Probably best part of a Couple of hundred for OEM parts Eddy. Looks like you need to shop around. If you decide you want an OEM one again PM me, I have a contact.

| If you need to change your clutch I'd get an uprated one. The price difference isn't too evil, whereas replacing it again in a few years (if that long ) would be very annoying.

| clutch's are the same between 2WD and 4WD skoda dealer by near quoted £850 to replace the clutch and bearing ![]() bought the uprated clutch and flywheel from IP and got it fitted by a local mechanic for £650 if your thinking of big power in the future by way of a big turbo then i wouldn't bother with the uber clutchs as they will be null and noid when the box needs changing ![]()

| my clutch has just been replaced, 3rd clutch in 3 years and this time it went good and proper, i had mine done at jabba and they fitted the g60 clutch and flywheel and the change is amazing, it feels alot lighter but the change is nice and the way it puts down the power is awesome, cost me about £500 including fitting and they brought the car half way home for me to save me going all the way over, diamond company. |

| Still not sure what to do, will be speaking to JBS tomorrow to see what they have. Bengie, I probably will go big turbo in the future but I'm reluctant to lose the low ratio 5 speed box. BTW I now have an R32 haldex unit in my garage as a spare.

| How heavy are standard clutch kits with flywheel bla bla? kilos please ? If they make that much of a difference I'll go for an aftermarket model myself.

| So what are the pro's and con's of having a lightened single mass flywheel instead of the standard dual mass item?

| revs slightly quicker/easier and the power bites quicker as the dual mass gubbins isn't there to soak anything up ![]()

| Eddie, I have the dual mass kevlar from jbs. It does the job. It's defo not as free spooling as a single mass, but then I understand the sach's stuff has had problems, then again everything does if you listen enough. Have a chat to them as the kevlar needs a clean faceplate and that in it'self causes a few problems. IIRC it was circa 850 inc fitting. Once engaged it's sweet as a little hobo, I do find it a little juddery in town and crawling on the M6 in 1st. HTH.
