| Hi everyone, I have just bought a really nice silver Octavia 1.9Tdi 110bhp and wanted to get some advice on a few little mods I wanted to do to it. Firstly, I wanted to know a little about remapping. Is it really worth it, is there a noticeable difference in power? It seems i can gain around 40bhp.. Is it worth it ?? Also, after reading the posts on here, and from what I have seen on the net, I see there are companies that come to you to remap your car, surely the car would need to be put on a rolling road to check before and after figures?? Any advice from TDi 110 owners would be really appreciated. Also, Im not too happy with the steering wheel on my car, its far too skinny and kind of lets the interior down i think. Is there a good replacement OEM one I can get? I dont really want to go down the sparco/momo route.. Anyway, Im picking my car up in the next week or so, so will post some pics up for you all to see what I have planned for it.. ShadyAl |

![]() .With remapps like most things you get what you pay for, if its cheap it wont be as good, again a rolling road is the best as the map can be tailored to the car & it shows up any other faults on the car. If you car has a problem & is only say 95 bhp at the moment a cheap "plug & Play map will probably make it feel better but you wont be getting the true potential from the car. You also need to be careful not to get too much torque as excessive torque will reduce clutch life considerably Re steering wheel the leather one from the L&K Octavia is IMO a great replacement & the air bag fits straight into it.

| on remap side, i installed a Raid HP tunning box on my 110, its one of the better units and is around 250-300 noted new, transformed the car, pulls much better now.
