| Hiya peeps! My cruise control no longer works! Recently I installed a stereo, so is there any chance I could have blown the fuse? If thats the case, does anyone have a fuse diagram....as the octy manual does not list a fuse for the cruise control! Thanks in advance! |

| More likely to be a problem with the switch on the clutch pedal. If this has stuck the cruise won't engage

| Haven't fixed it yet, but the "Brake Light Switch" seems the best bet in my case, seeing as my brake lights don't appear to be working, either . The link details how to clean an existing one.Off to the local [to my work] Skoda garage, the forums suggest getting an uprated 'purple' replacement part, like this one. Suggests a prices of £15 or so. Rich

| Fixed!!! Easy enough, new Brake Light Switch, part, 1J0 945 511 E (purple) cost £7.81!. Takes 10-15mins to fit, the sensitivity can be adjusted by pulling/pushing in the plunger/nipple so that it clicks. You'll need a torx/star key to remove the 2 screws from the dash trim, then just slide it out of the [white] clips. I propped a mirrored surfaces (a dvd within its case, actually ) over the upper break light to reflect the light while pressing the brake pedal down (it was a one man job).Brake lights and Cruise control now working Rich P.S. Cleaning the contacts as the link above suggest works too (remember to replace the contacts so that the small pegs supporting the contacts themsleves face away from the circular/barrel area), but I didn't realise I could adjust the brake switch's sensitivity until I bought the new one and the plunger was really long ... ![]()
