Default Problem with indicators

On my Octavia my indicator have stoped working. When I switch them on they some times go on once then they just stop sometimes they don't go on at all, same with hazard warding lights. Anyone any idea what might be going on and how to fix it?

Loose wire, relay broken, or dodgy switch. I'd go to the dealer if it's under warranty. If you know under what circumstances it happens most(ly?) then try to repeat it with a mechanic there. That way they've got a better chance of repeating it themselves & curing it too

Good luck, it's gotta be a pain

This is quite common, the relay is the cause. It is part of the hazard switch so a new hazard switch will sort it out.

Common across the VAG range. Five minute warranty job.

Yes it is very common.
The relay is built in to the hazzard unit.
Not that expensive if it is not covered under warranty either.
Just remove the little trim on the hazzard switch.
Pull out the switch , remove the plug.
Plug in new switch push back in and replace little trim.
Job done.
Easy

Sounds encouraging. Seams strange that the relay in the hazard unit is causing the indicators not to work. Where can I get one of these switches? The car is not under warranty.

From a Skoda dealer. If there isn't one near you, a VW dealer might stock the same switch.
