Default Pulsing Aircon

Turned my aircon on last night for a bit and it seemed to be pulsing. The blower didnt blow consistently, it just sort of blasted then eased off then blasted and so on.

Thought it was a bit weird that's all, so was wondering if it was normal. The car was hot, so it was trying to cool the car quite alot.

I'll try leaving it on for longer and see if it settles to a constant blow next time.

Must say I did notice this when i bought the car last summer, but haven't really noticed it again since then as I've been heating not cooling.

Is it just the system diverting air cyclicly (spelling?!) to all the different vent systems?

Any thoughts would be welcome.

P.S. It had a new pollen filter last September, and it did it then.

Resetting the flap motors with a VAGCOM might help.

Turns out the source may be the duff V71.

Ordered one yesterday from Skoda for £70ish, and will be arriving/fitting tomorrow.

I shall let you know if it solves the mousy/scratchy noises and the pulsing blower. I expect it will....

Also got some new rad mounts, but not looking forward to doing that job as much!

I also have the 'pulsing' air-con, even with air-con off. no idea wot it is either. and 'the mouse in the glovebox' to- there was a rather funny thread about that a while ago...several folk, including me, thought it was a rodent!
