Haynes ARE producing a repair manual for the Octavia and is listed on there website as currently in production due spring 2006 !!!!!!

What no doubt for the MK 1 which is history now. Haynes are prats. I found their manuals to be of limited value.

How strange, they told me there were not enough Octavia's on the road to warrant a manual. Seeing as it had been replaced before I emailed them (therefore very few sold) its odd that they now say they're producing it.
