Default RON - super or standard

Has anyone noticed (as scientifically as possible) any benefit (e.g. power, economy, durbility, ...) by using super unleaded rather than standard unleaded?

Personally, over the last ~10000 miles (roughly 5000 on supermarket standard 95RON and 5000 on Shell V-Power) the only difference I've noticed is the extra hole burned in my wallet each time I fill up with 99RON.

Hi, I see your new, so welcome!
Try searching a bit before putting new threads up. I'm pretty sure there are two different threads covering this topic in this part of the forum alone at the moment!

Try tescos super, I find it gives more smiles all round than V power.

Price/power/mpg better with tescos

Same here

I have always used optimax but for the last 3 months have been using Tesco 99Ron

I think the car runs better and I'm getting about 30 miles more out of a tank full!
