Default Service & TB clean gone wrong

This will be a long post but bear with me.

Took the car in to be serviced and also get throttle body cleaned and all was well,The drive there was wicked as the sun was out and roads were pretty quiet.
Got the car to the garage and then waited for the car to be finished, When they finished the mech asked why i wanted TB cleaned and was it for hesitation.
I let him know it was cleaned just as an extra thing i wanted done and not for any apparent reason to which i got "hmm the cars a bit hesitent" and the ASR light was on.

The main mech then scanned the car and got 16985 checksum error (i knew about this one and is getting done soon) and 16486 Maf signal too low, He then unplugged maf and car was fine although ASR light stayed on.
He had a quick look over the car and said you need a new maf and that will sort your woes, Not too bad as its only 50 quid and a 2 min job i thought.

That day i drove back (maf unplugged) to the sound of "whoosh"(only word i can think to describe it) every time i put my foot down which i thought was wierd, Anyway bought the new maf on the way home and fitted soon after.
I started the car and still had the ASR light on and the "woosh" was still there.
Got the faults cleared and scanned again to which i got the same 16486 code!

Tried phoning the garage at 5pm and was told i would get a phone back from the boss,
No phonecall so i tried the next day. While waiting on the phonecall i tested the car and the ASR light was out yay!. I gave it some gas through the gears and the light came back on. I could pretty much make the fault appear when i wanted but never knew when it would go.
I eventually got to speak to the boss and got the car booked back in and it was there for 1.5 hours and they still couldnt work out what was wrong

They now had more faults showing (including 16486,16985)
17705 pressure drop check D.V (this bit became important)
16502 coolant temp

I was told they couldnt work out what was wrong and that cleaning the TB might have aggrevated the ECU error to bring other faults so basically once i repaired ECU they would be in a better position to find the cause,I left there and a friend phoned and told me to take it to his mates garage, I got there and popped the bonnet as the guy came over. (he already knew the story) I gave him the scan codes and he started checking hoses,
Within 3 - 5 mins he had located a hose disconnected at the back of the engine passenger side just under the DV.
Reconnected that hose jumped in the car for another test and the car was back to normal.

Damn incompetant garage was the first words out the new mech's mouth!

Nothing happening as yet except he accepted when it was in the 2nd time that the fault did originally occur there but today refused it was their fault.

sorry about the grammer

Recorded letter coming your way ->Just VW Audi - Coventry

The only thing thats making me laugh about them is the page header on the contact page

"Skoda servicing by specialists for the midlands" I'd hate to see a non skoda specialist working on my car if this is what specialists do

Oh the latest one he hit me with is we dont check hoses on a full 40/80k service well wtf am i paying for
