| Re: Skoda to build old Octavia again I cant see how it would affect the residual values of the old Mk1 models tbh. They still sell the Classic tdi as private hire vehicles and will continue to do so till the end of 2009 i'm being told. Its only the same way as they are planning to continue production of the old superb 1.9 tdi classic (105) as a stand alone private hire model, when the new superb is launched. That way, they are not seen to devalue the new shiny models by having them sold in vast numbers, with vast discounts to the private hire trade. Plus it means part supplies will be better for us Mk1 drivers because they are still classed as a "current" model! |
