I think your worrying about nothing really, I would be more worried about them dinking panels and alloys than them ragging the guts out of my car.

Have you heard any bad reports abouth the specific garage that will be dealing with your service. There are a few posts in this thread which have either had bad service in the past or have an general opinion on mechanics and their presumed habits.

I would only pass my car to a garage which I was confident was ran professionaly and of which I could trust. At the moment due to warranty issues I am kind of restricted to taking my car to main dealer however I am confident that they have a handle on their staff and would not be daft enough to employ or have a culture of bad service of staff. A bad reputation, I would have thought, would be commercial suicide for them.

I would take all the comments on board in this thread and if you have any worries whatsoever then mention it to the service manager. If nothing else, if you have raised concerns then they will be aware that you will be looking at them closely and will expect nothing less than 100% professionalism.
