Have just had the offside wheel bearing replaced on my Octy RS cos I thought it was responsible for a grinding noise when I go round any left hand bend at 30 mph+. It hasn't fixed it and now I do not have a clue. The garage has checked the brakes and bearings of both back wheels and say they can find nothing wrong. The noise is getting worse and I don't want the wheels to fall off! Anyone got any suggestions at all as to what it might be.

Have you checked that wheel nuts are all tight? I had a car once where the wheel made hellish loud squealing and it turned out that the nuts were really loose - you could turn them by hand. I could only guess that someone had tried to steal my wheel.

The car is standard, apart from a chip. Don't think the wheels are loose either as the garage have just taken them off and put them back on and the noise remains.
