Unhappy strange reving

Hi,
I have a 2002 Octavia VRS that was remapped by revo about 8 months ago. The car has been great

HOWEVER..................

For the past couple of weeks i have noticed something strange with the revs, when i am driving at anything between 40 - 60 MPH and put my foot down in 5th or drop a gear and accelerate the rev's fly up by a couple of thousand revs and then drop back within 2 seconds and carry on up the range as you would expect. This is exaggerated when i have rear passengers or heavy load. I don't think it is the cluch unless slipping under high pressure? Is this normal and i have just not noticed it before? or could there be turbo lag or similar?

Please help
Dave

Yep, the only way the engine speed can change without the road speed following is if there's a slip somewhere.
Unless you have insane amounts of wheelspin, then it will be the clutch
