Fraying seats (white mesh bits) - got mine replaced under warranty, but after warranty runs out likely to be stuffed.

Can agree on seats and intermittant boost loss.
I think the MAF can be suspect though i haven't suffered that myself. (well i mean my vRS hasn't)

In 12 months I have had-

New high level brake light (thought it was rattling, but was boot trim)
New starter motor
New driver's seat belt
New autochanger
New coil packs
New secondary air pump
New cam chain & tensioner
New set of hydraulic lifters

Today is the last day of warranty!!!!!!!

Boot trim still rattles.

Most things then? That's bad luck on a standard motor, many of the above are items I would expect to see go bang on a highly modified car, so not yours then Des?

As for problems I've had in order of occurance:
rear screen wash jet pipe popping off
stress crack in front screen
frayed seat fabric
slipping clutch
starter motor
coil pack failure
(and because of the above, almost certainly an expired catalyst)

In 3½ years my 4X4 has had the following warranty work done:

All 4 coilpacks replaced (but none had failed)
Front wiper linkage replaced (because a small circlip wouldn't remain in place)
Haldex ECU replaced (checksum error)

In my two years of ownership I've had...

Indicator switch
Rear rubbing strip (faded to white)
Clutch
Faulty Door Lock controller (the Passenger door lock dead-bolt kicked in and took the dealership 3 days to open - they almost took a saw to it)

All replaced under warranty

Warranty is now up to I've Jabba'ed it...

Funnily enough that's just what I did (Swapped mine for a Honda )

The problems I had within the first 4 months were:

1. Broke down due to electrical fault.
2. 2 sets of warped / contaminated front disks.
3. Wobbling xenons.
4. Left xenon control unit failed.
5. Groaning rear brakes when reversing.
6. Ashtray destroyed itself one day
7. Constant back ache since I started driving it.

However - there are several on our fleet that have been hammered for 3 years and never had a problem.

They are a fantastic car......for the money (the Honda was £7K more )

Think mine was just a duffer
