| Yep, I would agree.... Where does the wiring go? into the skoda loom, or else where (I would guess the latter)? |

| Doubt that is an after market alarm, as all of those tend to have totally black outher sheath on the wiring so you can't just cot the right wires to shut it up. Defiantly looks like an alarm sounder to me though too.

| Yup thats the power sounder. Best way to see if your car has an alarm, lock the car with the drivers window open. Leave to set for a few mins, slide your hand in and pull the bonnet release. |

| Thanks for the advice folks. Well the alarm I was attempting to fit didn't like my car much so it's now back in its box feeling sorry for itself. *translation - I messed it up* So I've decided to turn my attention to the factory fit alarm! I have a microswitch on the bonnet but no ultrasonic sensors. I tried locking with the window down, left it 5 minutes and then popped the bonned - nothing! I'm wondering if the fuse has blown? When I find my handbook I will check... |

| IIRC The Octy vRS didn't come with a factory fit alarm even as an optional extra. I wanted one when I bought mine and the dealer fitted it.
