| I have a VRS 54 with 9000 miles, the service book has had hand writern in it next service due 10000. I never asked for the car not to be on variable servicing so am am confused. Phoned the dealer who informed me not to worry and service the car when it says. Just to confirm if the car is on 10000mile service will the service light come on at 10000 miles or does this light only come on with variable servicing. ![]() |

| If the service indicator comes on at around 9k miles you are on fixed servicing. If you are at 10k miles and it still hasnt come on you are most likely on variable. You get the indicator on either, the only difference is if on Variable it just says "Service" then the mileage countdown. Dont forget the indication is only shown for a few seconds after starting the engine where the mileage display is.

| You should get a warning around 1000 miles in advance. A text message will appear in the trip counter display for about 20 seconds each time you start the engine. Why not ask the dealer to connect your car to a diagnostic machine and confirm what type of servicing it is programmed for?

| Cheers it must be on variable then. Its good to know you get a countdown till it is up. I would like to service it every 10K but I am not that rich. |

| Look at the sticker in the boot or in your service book. Near the bottom left there will be a three figure code amongst all the other codes. QG0 - Fixed servicing QG1 - Variable servicing. Cheers Lee
