will vrs rear discs fit a 2004 tdi octavia? a straight swap? are the calipers the same? cheers.

No they wont fit without new calipers and carriers due to different sizes

vrs measure 256dia 22mm thick 36mm overall thickness

solid rear type is 239dia 9mm thick 34 overall thick

cheers m8. does anyone know what other make of cars which uses this size? might be easier to get callipers out of scrapyard.

The tdi discs are not vented if I recall correctly, so no won't fit. Have a look at some of the VWs or audi cars from the same period. Me thinks the VW gti and hotter audi A3/A4s used them. Have a look at peoples rear wheels next time your in a carpark full of VW/Audi cars (train station car parks usually attract more than their fair share!)

TDI vented fronts solid rears

Why not just go for some good discs and pads than replace the whole lot?
We do Tarox and ZeroSixty`s
Maybe some good discs and pads will be quite a bit cheeper and still a good little mod to help the braking.

Vented rears should come on...

VW Golf/Bora/Beetle V5 and V6 4Mo
SEAT Toledo V5
SEAT Leon Cupra/R
Skoda Octavia vRS
Audi TT (180-240 + V6)
Audi S3

2WD applications will bolt straight on, 4WD need adaptors.

One at work has solids at the rear (It's a GTI MK IV but no idea which engine)
