| Having lowered my car the rear wheel have a lot of negative camber on them... I have looked on Autodata they say the rear camber is not adjustable, is there any way around this? Also does anyone have any settings other than standard that they use for better handling? Cheers ![]() |

| Adjustable Tie rods need to be fitted, I bought some off of Forge 3 years ago for about £250 + the dreaded + postage I believe Jabba may be able to source them for less, They are made in the States & are meant for TT's but fit the 4x4 Powerstation in Cheltenham are excellent at 4 wheel allignment if you are that way, I travel from hampshire just to get the wheels aligned there They can dial in or out understeer to suit what you want, they have vast experience with rally & race cars so tend to use their knowledge rather than a book

| Hi mate, they arent adjustable as standard but speak to the nice people at Jabba and they will sell you a set of adjustables rear control arms which when fitted, allow camber to be adjusted. ![]() Its what I have and they work brilliantly. Lee

| Stuart thats very kind thanks, but I think it is uprated dampers I need really, whilst the ride was quite bouncy before I lowered it the car has only done 40k so surely the dampers can't be that worn? Also there is a lot of weight in the back of the car all the time so I reckon that will make a big difference... If you think otherwise please do say! JAYMD, thanks for that, unfortunately the link isnt working, takes me to the search page saying the the page you were looking for is no longer available... |

I have tried both Kw variant 2 & 3. The 3's are slightly better but cost more (still running the 3's) Lee (FocusZtec) had a different set up fitted which hes very pleased with but I cant remember what it was. (edited to say, Just read his signature, its all on there)

| i have lowered mine and forgot to change the tiebars at the back, my camber is a bit out but haven't noticed any really odd tyre wear and no funny handling either. its been round silverstone twice at trax in '05 and '06 and gets driven hard round the roads. ![]() they haven't snapped either ![]()

I drove a Cannonball with my car lowered but without the bars as I could not obtain any before I went. Nothing broke but one rear tyre was treadless on the inside, that was in about 3000 miles albeit 3000 virtually flat out miles at speeds of up to an indicated 150. The tyre had done about 1000 miles before the event Strange only one tyre went, I put it down to a combination of tracking & Camber out, I also hit a small sleeping policeman at ??mph, it was hard enough to buckle the front & rear alloy on one side of the car so Im guessing that probably knocked the tracking out on the rear. Thankfully the sump missed it !!

| I've got KW v1s without adjustable tie bars. I haven't gone mega low which may help a bit but 8000miles with no uneven tyre wear here. Iirc Demon Tweeks measured it at 2 degrees of negative corner, just on the allowable factory limit.

| Fitted new vrs dampers on the front yesterday (only £34 from Skoda!) and that has pretty much sorted the front end. Think I will be going with rear tie bars and adjustables on the back, the toe in and camber are way out so definately needs attention! Cheers for all the suggestions and will keep updated ![]() |
