| Has anyone yet come across any comparative performance figures (and any other good/bad comparisons) between the new 1.8TFSI and the present 2.0FSI hatches? |

| Those acceleration figures for the 1.8TFSi seem optimistic in my opinion. I can't see a gain of 10bhp and 30 ft lbs being sufficient to knock over a second off a 9 second 0-60 time. I would have thought 8.4 seconds or thereabouts would be closer to the mark?

| have you looked at the curves? the FSi has its peak torque of 200Nm from 3250-4250 where the 1.8TFSi has peak torque of 250Nm from 1500 - 5000rpm so the TFSi has a way larger power band.

| And are the gear ratios the same? I expect various things can affect 0-60 times. |

| Skoda site doesn't show this as being available with DSG or Tiptronic. Is this correct ? Shame if no "auto" option. Looks like I might be going for a year-old Volvo S60 D5 Geartronic if not.

| It cost just over £12,000 for the top range model, but you can't factory order anything! China is not a cheap country for cars, they have about 70% import tax on cars and car parts, so my one is Chinese made. |

| True, but then again it would have ESP, or least it would be an option. There is no options list, just xeons, but it comes with a lot - sunroof, power-heated-leather seats, etc etc I'm going to post what it has and has not got that is different from the Irish one I had, when I find out. |
