2,000 MkII vRS's Sold in the UK During 2006

According to a newspaper article I read today, Skoda UK sold 17,900 Octavia's in 2006 with 2000 of those being the vRS derivative

. I know there are a few registered owners of the new vRS on here, but where's the rest of you?.

Do Skoda have aprox 200 dealers? If so that's getting on for 1 Octavia vRs/month/dealer.

I can't find figures for the whole year yet, but heres what i found about sales upto October 06'

"Another success story has been the performance of the new Octavia vRS TDI and the vRS brand in general. The third model in the acclaimed vRS product line, the vRS TDI, has proved an instant hit with buyers and now accounts for 34.5%of total Octavia vRS sales. The equally entertaining Fabia vRS continues to sell strongly and represents 6.8% of overall Skoda sales in the year to date, a remarkable achievement. In total, all vRS models (including Fabia vRS) represent 12.2% of Skoda's YTD sales and an even more impressive 13.6% of Skoda's October sales. "

The true fact is, I like being in a minority! I hope sales plummet for 2007!!

The vRS Diesel hasn't been announced here yet according to Skoda NZ's website.
But we do now have two dealers on the South Island, making seven in total

Last I heard they'd sold 800 cars in total in NZ ! That was before the Mk2 Octy arrived but I haven't seen a Mk2 vRS on the road yet
