this is true but the idea is mad, the most i can find on that kinda site is they offer a maifold with differentoptions or sumin to take the garrett range lol

VW/Audi 1.8T - 20v Turbo Manifold: atpturbo.com

Ball Bearing Garrett GT4294R/GT4202R (aka GT42R / GT42RS): atpturbo.com

if these 2 would fit together it give 1000bhp or 1600 with the gt55 but i dont think they do lol but hey im just bored this sunday afternoon and reading junk lol

ive also heard nothing but bad things for the uprated atp manifolds anyway lol mentioned them to jbs and got a nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
i wonder what power you will get from cars in years to come lol
i will take that R42 v8 golf with its mere 500bhp please lol lol lol

was that james by any chance? :nescafe:

i've been running a ATP cast manifold for ages with no issues but i wouldn't go for an ATP eliminator turbo, just trust me on this one

a 1000bhp turbo would never work on a 1.8 though as it wouldn't have the oomph to get it spinning.

its turbo's that make its the engine that makes power, all a turbo does is increase the air going into the engine.

I don't think it's worth getting out of bed for less than 20,000,000 bhp.

Phase 3

Phase 3 has the addition of a Forge front mounted intercooler and an ATP exhaust manifold.

The ATP replacement manifold is also built to flow much much better than the stock unit. Overall flow has been improved more than 50% and virtually ALL of the restrictions built into the stock unit has been removed in this replacement design, resulting in more HP and torque. The additional benefit of using this high flow, thicker wall, cast unit over the stock unit is the ability to improve breathing at the exhaust ports as well as providing the necessary exhaust volume to maintain high boost/high RPM operation. The free flowing design also helps keep the EGT (Exhaust Gas Temperature) and subsequently engine temps down to allow more timing and less detonation.

Phase 3 is the maximum that can be obtained on the standard K03s turbocharger, around 250 bhp is seen from the conversion

I've said it in another thread, but I'm happy with the way my car is for now and so is my wallet. A car is different things to different people but mine has to do everything from ferry kids about, taking a family holiday, the occasional track blast and an everyday work tool so although it would be nice to go the next step (and it is tempting!) it aint going to happen for me

Massive horsepower is certainly possible with these kits, but the KO4 looks a safer route imo and I look forward to a spin in one soon

More is possible, the KO3 has seen 285bhp wrung out of it but the injectors and wastegate duty cycle are at the very limits of it's capabilities.

Lloyd you are talking about 1.8T products in a thread about a 2.0TFSi kit.

I think you are confusing yourself and other readers as Steve is talking about the KO3 as fitted to his TFSi.

250bhp is attainable relatively easily now what with the introduction of uprated high pressure fuel pump internals. Quite a few are running power levels similar to that and beyond quite happily with other software and modifications, but as for the Derv Doc I'm affraid I have no experience of it but very intersted to see anyone that has it successfully tuned to their car

Edit: Ah you've been on about the 1.8T Llloyd , that said I thought that the Derv Doc had released software for the 2.0TFSi?

It is a very much everyday car with the K04, i do approx 1100 miles per week. Fuel consumption is marginally better in everyday driver mode as well.
Its like you said steve when in everyday use you got to keep it sensible(ish)
