| There....thats it done now....bought an 06 plate octavia 1.9tdi estate in ambiente trim with 14k.The car was registered on the 1st aug 2006. Can anyone out there help me with a couple of questions. 1. I've flicked thro the site and seen the term mapping or engine mapping quite a few times. can anyone explain what is involved here....the cost involved....what can be gained....does it affect your warranty....better fuel economy?? 2. Also does anyone know whether on 06 plate octavia diesel can run on this biodiesel stuff?? 3. My car was bought from a dealer with 14k.the dealer said it was on long life oil and variable servicing. He said it wouldn't probably need serviced till about 20k or 2yrs, but asked what kind of driving I would be doing. When I said it would be mostly short runs/town driving he suggested changing the oil and filter(which he did) and said at the next service(20k) to take it to a skoda dealer and ask them to reset the sevice indicator to 10k/1year service/not long life oil.Is this the best option or at 20k would I be better off just sticking with the more exspensive oil and variables? any guidance would be appreciated.thanks. |

| If you cannot use bio-diesel there should be a sticker on the inside of the fuel filler flap. Check with the handbook as well. |
