Default Anyone running 19"s?

Is anyone running 19" wheels on a vRS? Its a popular mod on the golf gti forums i'm on.. mostly bbs ch or similar to follow the look of the ED30.

Anyone got 19" on an octavia?

I think the octavia would suit something pretty chunky, like maybe oettinger re's..

quick photoshop below:

[ps - anyone got a good hi-res side on image of a vRS wagon in silver?]

I'm not a fan of 19"s. I think they look too big on the Golf and on the Octavia - gives it the Tractor look IMO.

Would need 35 profile tyres - so reserve your session with the chiropracter now!

Careful with this. I have just discovered an area 3/4s round the rear arches where the bumber interfaces with the main bodywork. Bad design, theres amost a blade-like finish to the bodywork that points directly to the tyre!

Yes, that metal lip does a great job of eating the tyre with 20mm spacers on the back...

er.. guys if i was to get 19s it would be with a lower profile tyre, so rolling radius would be unchanged - ie no closer to the bodywork.

i'm guessing from the responses above the answer to my original question would be "no" :-)

Technically it wouldn't be any more of a problem, but then again Im not sure what the offset is on the 19's you mentioned. They MAY bring the 19's out towars that lip a bit more.

Of course with 19's you ride is going to be a bit compromised.
