Default Audience HU only reads V1 MP3 tags?

Hello,

After getting fed up of the Audience CD player in my Octy II not displaying Artist/Track/Album details for my MP3 CDs I did a bit of experimenting and found that it only displays MP3 tags for the ID3 version 1.

I'm surprised that this hasn't been a bit of an annoyance for other Audience owners.

Has anybody else experienced the same ? or do some of the Audience units work with later ID3 versions ?

Now I know what the problem was it's hardly the end of the world, however if anybody has got theirs to function correctly with later ID3 versions that might indicate that there is some firmware upgrade that can be applied during my Octy's upcoming 1st service.

Any feedback gratefully received.

Shonman.

I think mine is displaying the V2 tags. The names displayed are quiet long anyway.

Mine displays everything fine.
But,
Before I burn CD I have to introduce all: Name, Title, Album etc. using Windows Explorer, Right Click on each song, Properties, Summary, Advanced! Introduce everything you want but erase all comments and make sure it's unprotected.
