| The warranty is 60,000 miles/3 years.I think its a case of whichever comes first. |

Yes it should work. Search for the Stu's instructions how to add the extra wire from the light switch to the central electronics module. Only problem with this switch is that illumination is red instead of Skoda green.

| it can be done, but some additional wiring will need to be connected to the ECU from the switch, because the wiring loom in non autolights octavias is different. Once thats done the ECU will need coding to say that autolights are present and away you go.

| Regarding the warranty, isnt it 2 years UNLIMITED and then a 3rd year that will only be active if you cover less than 60k in total? If so, then depending on what part of 2006 your car was registered, you may be in the 2yr/unlimited miles bit. Steve

| Correct the warranty from skoda is: Year 1 and 2 are unlimited mileage, this is provided by Skoda Auto in CZ. Year 3, provided you have not exceeded 60K miles you will get a 3rd full year (or until you get to 60K miles) warranty, this is provided by Skoda UK.
