| Re: Awaiting my mighty VRS Might be worth considering waiting to 1st September to get the '57' plate, unless it comes through early and you can't wait to get your hands on it. I know I would be able to; wait that is. vRS TDI is a cool car PS> WELCOME |

| Re: Awaiting my mighty VRS I would wait until the 1st September but it's a company lease car - So I think I would rather just get hold of it as soon as possible. If I had been quoted the 24th August or like Max Damage I would def wait until 1st September. |

| Re: Awaiting my mighty VRS If it's a lease car, I'm surprised they wouldn't hold it for the new plate as it adds value come resale. Mine is a co car too and I've done 3000miles in 6 weeks! - 50mpg. I must be driving Miss Daisy around. Steve

| Re: Awaiting my mighty VRS Steve That is not what I wanted to hear! I'm itching to get hold of my car since I test drove one about 4 weeks ago all I can think about is having it to drive all the time. Make my trips to Reading for more fun through the cotswolds! How does your Octy compare to the impreza and the type R? |

| Briskodian | Re: Awaiting my mighty VRS I've had between 35mpg and 54mpg in mine so far over the course of a journey. Boy does it fly when you want it to! I've average 48.6 so far in 1600 miles which is pretty good IMO. |

| Re: Awaiting my mighty VRS This always makes me laugh a little. If a TDI is a cool car why do you feel the need to keep saying it? Surely if it was cool it should speak for itself? Simply saying your car is cool doesn't make it necessarily so, instead it's the concencus on the populace that dictates 'coolness', or of course Clarkson Don't get me wrong, the VRs TDI is a good car, but I'd question its 'coolness'. Discuss.

| Re: Awaiting my mighty VRS Just a little? That's fine. A lot? I'd be upset Quote:

We all know that the Fabia vRS is a 'cool car' as it is appreciated by those that know; its styling is discreet and who'd have thought that you can get good performance from a diesel? Now that it is no longer in production, something needs to take over its mantle in the Skoda Range. The Octavia vRS does this. Its a stealth performance car and appreciated by those that know. I suppose that either a TFSI or TDI vRS might be considered 'cool' on this basis, but IMHO the TDI edges the coolness factor being Diesel and who'd have thought a diesel would be that quick? Perhaps the other factors to why I keep saying "vRS TDI is COOL "- are to provoke a bit of discussion on the topic and 'cos IMHO it is.Back on topic for fos - VRS; How are you sleeping these nights? Can't wait? Only two days to go for you. Don't worry it will be worth the wait. At least you haven't got to hang on to mid-August!! | ||

| Re: Awaiting my mighty VRS To be honest, unless you are a frequenter of this site, no Skoda is cool. That's why I like mine, the fact that it isn't seen as cool by the populace. Who wants to follow the crowd anyway.
