Default Beam lights switch doesn't work

You know the stick that you push forward, and then you have full beam lights, this doesn't work.

If I hold it back, then I get full beam lights.

Anyone have an idea what is wrong?

Sounds like it might be a faulty switch.

Ridiculously Stupid Question Alert!!

I don't mean to sound silly but are the dipped beam headlights on when you try and do this?

Lights off:

Stalk forward - nothing
Stalk centred - nothing
Stalk back (spring loaded) - "flash" of full beam

Lights on:

Stalk forward - full beam
Stalk centred - dipped beam
Stalk back (spring loaded) - "flash" of full beam

Niall (not trying to be patronising)
