Best New Price For A Petrol Octy Vrs

Hi folks

I'm looking at potentially buying a new petrol vRS can anyone recommend cheapest sources also considering pcp type finance and looking to spend around 350 p/m on this arrangement. (with small deposit!) I could get a new vRS through work lease but am looking at 270 p/m all in and siginificantly less expenses per mile.

What do you all think?

A dealer can do you one on Solutions which will also include 3 years/30k miles servicing.

Might not be as cheap as 15k though.

Motorpoint are often Maltese sourced.

That's what I've heard - any known problems with those? Assume they are still built in the CR?

They are indeed maltese imports i gave them a call last week as i was thinking of getting one (at that price) they said they have a few instock (all silver) but they are imports with only 2 years skoda warranty but they did offer me a further 500 quid off if i took finance with them!

Told them i wasnt interested in an import, but it is a good price

Would be interesting to find out, might do a little more research this week as I have the week off work. If anyone sees a good deal on one in race blue please post. Dealers might be better as Im looking for a PCP option as I mentioned before.

Thanks for that feedback paul. Not sure If I would want an import but the price is pretty awesome. Wonder if there are any other implications of buying this type of Import?

Re: Best New Price For A Petrol Octy Vrs

Yes they would be built in CZ. Until recently all vRS models were built at Vrchlabi however increased demand has now meant that they also build them at Mlada Boleslav now.

You can identify the factory by a digit in the VIN.

Re: Best New Price For A Petrol Octy Vrs

Cant see you finding a cheaper vRS (brand new) but im sure your insurance would be more expensive, you lose a years warranty and it would make it difficult to sell the car on in the future

Cracking price tho

Re: Best New Price For A Petrol Octy Vrs

My Motorpoint vRS is IDENTICAL to a UK car apart from Ive only got 17" wheels, insurance is identical to UK cars, Warranty can be extended to 3 Years for £300, even registration document says registered as NEW in UK. Go for it, believe Motorpoint do a Solutions type package called Boomerang, found them very easy people to deal with. Oh and it had 14 miles on the clock when I test drove it!

Drive the deal let you specify your car and then it is sourced from a UK dealer they have a deal with.

Re: Best New Price For A Petrol Octy Vrs

I've used Motorpoint before and they were good.

Don't worry about it being an import, it's full UK spec, and remember they're all imports anyway!

If the 2 year warranty worries you then buy an additional third year.

The car maybe worth slightly less when you come to sell it but you pay a lot less for it new. If you intend to keep the car 4+ years it really doesn't matter anyway.

It's a no brainer as far as I am concerned. I'm just sorry they didn't have any when I bought mine.

Its a good point about Motorpoint, I had send an email enquiry to them today but recieved no reply, in fact waiting on a couple of calls but no reply! No one wants my business obviously... Wish they had got one in race blue! Maybe I'll get a call tomorrow.

Personally, I would find a good main dealer and stick with them, just my own preference I'm not a great fan of car supermarkets.

I guess you need to weigh up the pros and cons such as where are the warranty repairs made if there is a problem; local skoda dealer? I wouldn't want to travel for that (been there done that... Leicester to sutton Coldfield for my old 9-3 coup)
