Easy. :: LUXURY CAR TUNING :: sells a Vario Control Module to Maxi-dot equipped VW/Audi/Seats and I contacted them regarding the Skoda and they developed a module for Skoda, which mine is the first to use. It will get in sale as soon as I have testet it more..

Full featurelist:

Featuring our patented technology the module is able to:

- NEW: now with DBBS technology - dynamically adjusts to the dashboard processor speed for best results
- NEW: now with REALSPEED technology - finally allows accurate acceleration measurements
- NEW: REALSPEED can be shown in MPH or KMH
- NEW: REALSPEED has been verified to be nearly 100% accurate when compared with dyno runs
- NEW: improved window remote function - works with even more configurations
- NEW: improved security to avoid accidental window operation through the remote control
- NEW: improved boost signal detection when the signal reported can not be identified correct
- NEW: improved atmospheric pressure detection even when the data reported is incomplete
- NEW: added support for some factory radio SW versions to avoid accidental track/station changing
- NEW: improved display error handling on slower network configurations to avoid display reset
- NEW: improved radio interface to support more non standard, non OEM radio installations
- NEW: improved harness - now more flexible and at the same time more durable
- NEW: does not interfere with factory brake light assist if present
- NEW: automatically disables the flashing indicators on reverse if either turn signal is engaged
- NEW: sampling frequency has been increased for certain sensors to further enhance accuracy

I'm glad they have sorted you out properly!! They dropped me like a bad habit when they had what they wanted.

I have had one of the Golf ones for quite some time and have been providing them with feedback and VAG-COM scans etc to help them design the Skoda one. Not good customer service IMHO.

There is also a problem with this - display the turbo boost pressure on 2.0tfsi or 1.9/2.0tdi engines on the MFD (dashboard) while driving

I have tried till I'm blue in the face to explain to them that the value they read is requested boost value and not actual so monitoring it is pointless, they don't understand.

OK.. haven't compared the boost with vagcom logs yet. I've contacted them because the relative boost view fluctuates. The absolute pressure seems fine though, but as I said, haven't compared it with the values in vagcom.

Wow, how cool is that. Wonder if it can display the alerts off a radar detector with the apropriate modules added. I saw that in one of the new S class Benz's and it was really really cool.

So its a bit pointless then but if they could get it to read the 'actual' boost, I'd be very interested indeed!

The company seemed to behave strangely, at least in the past.

Look at:

VWvortex Forums: LCT Vario Plus Control Module - MFD Boost display etc.. please read!

That was the reason for getting it. It does have a couple of other neat features such as dipping the nearside mirror when reversing which only normally available with electric seats.

Yes I was fully aware of that when I ordered it however I still decided to give it a go. The potential of the unit is good it just needs to be done properly.

As for speed camera detector alerts I think you might be missing a crucial factor of how this thing works. It piggy back the CAN Gateway controller and extract the data normally passed around the car so it's a car data unit and not anything to do with speed camera's etc.

The boost is the only function I'd actually buy it for tbh. I would love to monitor that but dont want to shove a specific boost gauge into the dash area.

I'm about to trade the Octi for a newer Golf GT DSG, and still the radar detector signals (possibly parking sensors) are the only things I'd need it to show.

Sidenote: can this be interfaced with the Witson MFD look alike to work with the Maxidot?

I started a thread about the possibility of displaying boost pressure in the maxidot as an alternative to a boost gauge - seems a bit pointless to add another sensor when the engine already monitors it, the thread didn't recieve many posts though!! Ha.

It would be good to see it dislpaying the actual boost! If they can sort that I'm guessing they might have few customers.
