Default Brake Pads

Anyone know if you can buy uprated Brake Pads (or discs) for an Octy II 2.0 TDI elegance just yet.

I'm not looking to do it, just looking at it from a comparison point of view with other cars.

Thanks

Mine are due to be replaced soon and have been informed that Ferrodo make a decent set for the OctyII but I'm affraid I do not have any reference numbers for them.

Hi
We have kept a certain MkII in Tarox
These are good discs and pads
We can also get ZeroSixty discs , these are quite a bit cheaper than Tarox
But I myself would keep clear of Green Stuff , myself and others have had problems with them warping discs
Hope that helps

Hi Sarah,

Are these any good on stock discs, and if so how much would a full set of pads all around cost.

Thanks

Oooh
Thanks Dave , another thumbs up
Nice

The 288`s on yours are the same pads for the 312`s , same as the mk1 Octy`s
So the price of the front ones are £79.00 + VAT and the rears are £61.00 + VAT
These are Tarox Strada pads , as used by Shifty

Is that the latest compound? I ran some Greenstuff's in the past and they warped my discs but apparently this has now been rectified. Saying that, why anyone would pick the Green's over the Redstuff is beyond me

They are the Ferodo's; check them out here - Motorsport World - Performance Car Parts

I have them on my Fabia with standard discs - top notch; just put my second set in.

Guys, silly question but, would fitting your own brake pads invalidate the warranty on the car ?
