| Hi to all, just changed my phone from Nokia 6021 to Nokia 6151. I was looking for the good phone without Symbian OS because of compatibility problems on Bluetooth Skoda. But, even without Symbian, no phonebook, last calls, etc are transfered down to MaxiDot. ![]() I don't know what is going on. Tried 6021 again and all works fine. Back to 6151, no transfer. I mean BT works fine, but no more transfer. I found few compatibility listings but they have very few Nokia phones. On this forum, there have been a lot of discussions about N-series and E-series of Nokia and there is no solution. But, as this is non-Symbian phone, does anyone have any idea? It's 3G. Is it a problem? I tried switching off 3G and many other things, but nothing helped.

| its not 3g thats the problem it may just be that the phones phonebook is incompatable with the bt kit, have you looked at the phone compatability list on this site to see if its listed? |

| Have you tried it with the phonebook on the SIM and/or on the phone? Maybe it doesn't like looking for the phonebook on the phone. Or vice-versa.

| Í've just found the solution, by accident. One friend of mine gave me his phone number today and I put it in my phonebook, writing the name and the number. Entered the car and while driving remembered to look at the phonebook on MaxiDot, and imagine, only that one was there. I stopped the car and wrote down (name and number) few imaginary contacts and they all went to MaxiDot and at the same time I had last calls and received calls. Conclusion: I had my phonebook transfered from old phone using Bluetooth on both phones (didn't have the cable to do it with PC Suite). I've done transfer name by name (couldn't do them all at once because phone was saying "phone memory protected". Now I understand that those contacts are not valid to be transfered to the car. I'll spend now many hours writing them, one by one, to new phone as that's the only way for them to be shown on MaxiDot.

| another one i found to work, get in car and turn it on so bt kit is enabled. turn phone off, leave for a minute then turn back on. the bt kit will then look for the phonebook once again and should all appear again. |

| Ok, now it is realy solved. After working for a day or so using the way explained in my previous post, it stopped working again. Then tried to copy contacts to SIM and now all works fine. Phonebook is on MaxiDot all the time. On the phone, there is no need to use memory "Phone and SIM". It's OK just with "Phone" memory. Bluetooth will read the SIM anyway. Doesn't metter if it's chosen on the phone or not. Finaly!

| Quote: My question is destinated to bosnjo once that we have exactly the same equipment (radio, dsp, system sound and phone prep). I know that I'm close to the solution once I was able to connect one phone but next day I couldn't do it anymore. Now the phones don't even detect the car. By the way, do you have any idea about this? | |

| I would say chec the power supply to the phone module, Even if wrongly coded you can see Skoda_UHV in bluetooth on your phone.

| I believe it has power cause I saw once or twice the name on the phone and actually I was able to do and receive a phone call. Since then "nada". Still the audio system gives the chime telling me it couldn't get connection and the word "PHONE" shows on the screen. Also a female voice is played telling me the possible comands, so the module has power. Now I'm thinking in doing a power off reset to the module and see what happens. What do you think? |
