Hi all I need to know the width and height of the boot on a new octavia estate/combi model. I have a rather large cubed box i need to pick up and would rather not drive a 2000 mile round trip to find out it wont fit I am renting the car, so i can't check out the dimensions myself right now (although i did have a 2006 elegance estate as a company car for almost a year, and thought it was great So if anyone has a new model octavia estate, and can tell me what the minimum width n height is, I would very much appreciate it. thanks in advance Si

heh, prague to the UK and back Its a 29" cubed broadcast monitor, in a flight case - and my gf booked the car already hoping it will be good enough - now i am running around like a lunatic trying to get dimensions of the box and the boot to make sure it fits. I dont think sleazyjet would let me put a 29" monitor in the overhead locker

Hi, I did this in an earlier thread, don't know how to post link, but here is my last response Height of tailgate, 86 cm - this is the height of the opening from the lower lip of the roof to the bottom of the opening, i.e. it is an oblique dimension. Tallest point floor to roof lining. This depends where you take it! The roof lining dips down sharply at the rear where it meets the tailgate opening. The absolute tallest just behind rear seats is 98cm From rear edge of roof lining to floor is 88cm If the variable floor is in place (Elegance) these are 84 and 74 respectively. Maximum width between wheel arches is 102 cm. Hope this gives the info you need?
