Hi Gaff, yes, I have the sensor. They just take it off and refit it afterwards on the new screen. I had to get them to refit it as the tube that covers the wiring didn't reach the headlining and left the wire exposed as it entered the rooflining. Don't know how they do it as the bond between the sensor and the glass looks good.
The rain sensor seems to work ok - getting used to it but sometimes wish for a normal manual controllable intermittent wipe.

Mine didn't work right after re-fitting. Theres talk it needs a new sensor, the other one was perfect prior to screen change.
