| Would I be right in saying the MY year in the UK starts mid year of the year before the year listed or was it just the way it happened in that case?

| Model years (MY's) run approximately from July to June iirc, so for example MY2006 would run from July 2005 to June 2006, although bear in mind that old dealer stock sometimes stays in the system for quite a bit longer and may not get registered till way past this time. |

If you had asked me instead of using the words 'deluded' and 'moment of triumph' I would have said. I think Stu maybe right in saying its something to do with UK spec...I oredered mine in the last week of March and received 13/6/06. Below, some pics(kinda crap but its difficult to take a pic whilst driving at the same time) that show my car DOES HAVE THE CRUISE ILLUMINATION!!!!!! ![]() ![]() @VRSTU,..heated??? | My car was made in Feb/Mar 2006 and deifinitely does not have the cruise control illumination thingy. I think I can probably live without it though.

| 8. The Stream radio is different in sound and functionality. Possibly because the speakers haven't run in yet?? 10. There is no manual level control for the headlights - but it does have HIDs. No UK car with factory fit xenons will have a manual adjuster ![]() 12. The tyres are different to the ones fitted to the old car. Just depends what Skoda has in stock at the time. 14. The alert noise for seatbealt non-fastening (and other things) is more pleasant (if an alert noise can be pleasant) Can be configured how you like regardless of model year. 15. The battery is bigger in capacity (61-70AH) Does your new car have more options as standard? 19. The retractable load cover has a stronger spring Possibly the older one was getting a little tired or dirty? 20. The seat belts are easier to pull out - the inertia reels are different. Possibly the older one was getting a little tired or dirty? 22. The alarm beeps when it is set. Can be configured how you like regardless of model year. |
